Pyrosat CanSat Team's Parachute Takes Flight.
Exciting news from the PyrosatCanSat team. We recently put our parachute system to the test with a drop test from the 6th floor, and we're thrilled to report a resounding success. To evaluate the parachute's performance, we carefully packed it into our CanSat prototype and took it to the 6th floor of our school. With anticipation and a bit of nervousness, we released the CanSat, and watched as the parachute deployed flawlessly. The descent was exactly what we hoped for – a stable, controlled descent with no spinning or excessive drifting. The CanSat landed safely, proving that our parachute design is on the right track. This successful test gives us great confidence in our parachute system's ability to ensure a safe and smooth landing for our CanSat during the competition. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to prepare for launch.

Pyrosat CanSat Team Achieves First 3D Printed Prototype
As the Pyrosat CanSat team, we've successfully 3D printed our first prototype for the CanSat's casing. The initial fit is excellent, demonstrating the accuracy of our design. However, we've identified a need for slight adjustments to accommodate the GPS and antenna components. We're already working on refining our 3D model and plan to reprint a revised version soon. Stay tuned for further updates as we move closer to launch.

CDR Stage Completed
We are happy to announce that we passed the CDR (Critical Design Review) stage of the 2024/2025 CanSat competition! In the coming days we will post more updates about our project

Tests of the first parachute prototype completed
We have sewn and tested the first prototype of our parachute. A week ago we conducted the first tests of the parachute and today we tested it again, now from a greater height. We now know how to improve the design and the next version will be significantly better and this time sewn using the proper materials which finally arrived. This one is already relatively stable but slightly too big. If you wish to see a video from the tests, click the image and it will redirect you to our team's instagram account, where videos from tests are uploaded.

Tests of the gyroscope, accelerometer barometer, and termometer
Thanks to the arrival of the missing components, we were able to test crucial components for our Primary Mission: the barometer and termometer, as well as components used in our Secondary Mission: gyroscope and accelerometer.

Arrival of many other components
Almost all of the components have now arrived, including most notably the voltage converter. This allows us to perform tests of all the components, which will be happening over the span of the next few weeks.

First succesful Raspberry Pi and camera boot-up
Some of the components we have ordered arrived, allowing us to make the first boot-up of the most simplified version of our system- the Raspberry Pi connected to a camera. These are the most important components for our mission, so it is an important milestone, allowing us to work on the next tasks.
